MT MARTHA GOLF CLUB CODE OF CONDUCT

The Code of Conduct is 'required conduct' for all men and women members of Mount Martha Golf Club Association Inc, both on the course and in clubrooms.

Members are expected to acknowledge and respect the personality differences of individuals, and to be friendly and convivial in the Clubrooms and in competition on the course.

On the course, players are expected to obey and monitor observance of the Rules and Etiquette of golf, as determined by "the Royal and Ancient" and by Golf Australia.
In addition, local rules may be written on a notice board in the Clubhouse.
It is in the player's responsibility to know the rules and the penalties which may be applied.

Complaints about another player may be made to the Match Committee which is authorised to disqualify a player, if it sees fit, or to apply penalties in accordance with the Rules of Golf.

Gross misconduct inside the Clubhouse or on the course may be reported to the Committee of Management, which can establish a Disciplinary Committee with power to impose lengthy suspension of a member or his / her expulsion from the Club.
Gross misconduct may include aggressive or threatening behaviour, sexual harassment, offensive comments about gender or race, comments which vilify others, repeated inebriation, damage to Club property or theft, and conduct deemed prejudicial to the Club
